I mean you have a 6 channel (2 synths + 4 drums) tracker/sequencer that doubles as a pretty sophisticated -for its size :)- old skool synthesizer. and it all fits in your pocket. I mean you can do some decent stuff with it, meh thinks.

Re: Korg DS-10

oh wow, really, it's not? mind pointing me to the official site? Google seems to think that it's http://www.korgds10synthesi...

Re: Korg DS-10

That's not the Official DS-10 website you talk about. And those demo's are pretty lame indeed. There's a lot more power underneath its hood.

Re: Korg DS-10

Hi Esbie. Thank you for the advise. I will check them out. Cheers!

Re: Korg DS-10

Oh! well for music composition there are lots of options. I'd recommend Korg for synthesizers and Yamaha for digital keyboards/workstations. I personally have a Yamaha Motif ES8. I used to have a Roland, but it wasn't nearly as user friendly. The Korg DS-10 is a good deal for someone that wants to learn more about synths and has a Nintendo DS. Or, if you're crazy about analog synths like I am (as opposed to normal keyboard synths) something like the chimera could be very fun.

Re: Korg DS-10

Hi Esbie. I'm using Audacity at the moment for my podcast and e-learning programs. I'm thinking of a synthesizer for my daughter who is into her own music composition and vlogs about them (although mostly cover songs at the moment). Thank you for the reply.

Re: Korg DS-10

I've never heard of anyone really using a Synthesizer for podcasting, maybe what you're looking for is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)? If that's the case, then I definitely recommend Audacity, a free sound editor that's easy to use. If I had a podcast, this is definitely the tool I would use to edit it.

Re: Korg DS-10

Thanks for sharing. I've been looking into buying a synthesizer that I and my daughter can use for podcasting/vlog - come out with something more polished. Any suggestion for an entry level will be great.
